One of our volunteers who is working in the nutrition field had to start work at 6 am to ensure that the treatment will be given to sidna.
sidna is a child born in Shalalob village northeast of the city of Kassala
The village is simple and its children suffer from malnutrition
Grandma takes care of sidna who is 10-months-old.TOD center provides health and Nutirtion services in shalalob village and therefore children should be screened to identify those who are malnourished.
But the grandma believes that walking to the far center will affect his health because of the presence of dust and hot sun and therefore sidna did not get to disclose the required.
Alawiya “the volunteer” in the center of TOD knew the case and was immediately equipped to visit the family of the child Sidna and disclosure
After the discovery of the case of sidna , it appeared that our master suffers from malnutrition, where the MUAC measure is 9 cm and weight 3.9 kg
Alawiya has made the grandmother aware of the situation of sidna and gave her advice and guidance
In order to be reassuring, Alawiya initiated the opening of the center from 6 am to provide care and treatment for sidna
Now Sidna refere to SFP programm after treatment from Severe Acute Malnutrition and his MUAC increas from 9 cm to 11.5 cm .
