Talawiet Organization for Development” (TOD) was established in 2005 and registered, in the same year, as a national voluntary organization at the federal Humanitarian Aid Commission in Khartoum. The organization works hard and aspires to trigger development of rural communities through education, improvement of health and livelihood conditions, awareness raising and promotion of multifaceted skills that would enable the target rural communities to actively and effectively participate in the achievement of sustainable rural development goals. In undertaking these endeavors, the organization is committed to the values of equity, respect of human dignity, rational utilization of resources and securing the participation of all actors – beneficiaries, donors and implementers – in the development process.
